Hello and welcome to Live Life Occupational Therapy - Life Live OT,
We work with adults and older teenagers who are privately funded, funded by the NDIS or Medicare, and who require the services of an Occupational Therapist in Canberra and surrounding areas of NSW.
Our approach is holistic and collaborative - encompassing your functional, physical, emotional, social and spiritual areas of your day to day life at home and in the community. Perhaps you have several areas that pose challenges for you - it may be how you deal with people, manage your weekly routine, access around your home, vision or hearing issues; or perhaps you need equipment to get around with, a report for an NDIS plan review, or time away from your normal routine. We may be able to help you. If not, we will try to refer you to someone who can.

Functional capacity Assessments, reports
Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs) and recommendations for NDIS plan reviews, change in circumstance or other reports where an OT perspective is required.

Adult Occupational Therapy one on one, or small groups
We focus on the adult population but will occasionally work with teenagers depending on the service required.
Program of Supports (POS) can be arranged with one, to up to three participants. This offers flexibility and can be useful where a routine works best.

Advice, recommendations, assessments and reports for equipment, devices and manual handling products that assist with mobilisation at home and in the community.

respite, short term accommodation
Our respite care and STA is outdoor camping based, rather than at home. You can meet your goals and experience the outdoors like never before.
It is not wilderness therapy or complementary/alternative therapy.
The NDIS does cover this respite.
how we work & charge
Initial contact
- We speak by phone and ascertain if we can help you.
- A Service Agreement, and Information Consent Form is completed and signed by us both.
- It outlines the work to be done, hours and costs involved, including travel.
- We may ask to speak with your Support Coordinator or Local Area Coordinator.
No Charge
Occupational Therapy starts
- We book a time and date to meet and commence the work.
- Explanation of what will be done and why.
- If ongoing therapy, we schedule a few dates in advance - negotiated with you.
$193.99 p/hr
program of supports
- Program of Supports (POS) as outlined by the NDIS.
- Very small group sessions promoting social interaction and peer support.
- Addresses specific goals you are working towards.
- Offers continuity and a set time/day.
cost depends on numbers & frequency
respite care sTA - outdoors
- NDIS approved.
- Alternative to mainstream houses - and still meets your NDIS goals.
- Customised program of activities and sleep under the stars in a swag or tent.
- 4wd vehicle fully kitted out.
- Weekdays or weekends.
